Raw Perlite 0,60 – 1.2 mm

Coarse-Grain Classified Raw Perlite

Nadu Mining offers its superior-quality, coarse-grain raw perlite for specialized horticultural and industrial applications. This product, precision-classified in the 0.60 – 1.2 mm (600 – 1200 microns) range, is entirely free of all fine and medium-sized particles. The result is an exceptionally clean, homogeneous raw material that produces large, durable, and structurally robust particles upon expansion.

This coarse-grain perlite fraction is specifically developed for applications requiring maximum air porosity, drainage, and insulation capacity.

Its primary applications include:

  • Professional Horticulture: It is the primary raw material for producing premium, coarse-grade horticultural perlite. Its expanded form ensures excellent root aeration and drainage for orchid cultivation, rose propagation, and hydroponic systems. Its non-compacting structure provides a durable, long-lasting growing medium.
  • Construction Aggregates: When expanded, it transforms into an ideal lightweight aggregate for applications such as roof and floor screeds, lightweight insulating concrete, and masonry block fill. Its large particle size enables high thermal insulation performance at a very low density.
  • Cryogenic Insulation: This is a frequently specified grade for producing the expanded perlite used to insulate large-scale cryogenic systems, such as LNG storage tanks. The coarse particles help prevent compaction and settling of the material in the insulated space.
  • Loose-Fill Insulation: Its expanded form is used as a loose-fill material, providing effective thermal and acoustic insulation in building wall cavities and attics.

Our 0.60 – 1.2 mm classified raw perlite is backed by the quality and expertise of Nadu Mining to meet the most demanding technical specifications.
